In 2020, ASE Senior Partners Dylan Knight, Pete Fagan, and Grant McLoughlin experienced a small glimpse into the daily reality faced by tens of thousands of Australians on one of the longest and coldest nights of the year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was live-streamed, with participants choosing to sleep on a couch, in their car, or in their backyard. We chose to sleep in our backyards—not only to raise awareness but also to contribute funds to this vital cause.
In 2023, ASE once again proudly supported the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, raising a record-breaking amount. This marked Grant’s third time participating, and we are committed to making it our fourth in June 2025.
Since its inception 17 years ago in Sydney, the Vinnies CEO Sleepout has raised over $60 million nationally. These funds provide crisis accommodation, food, healthcare, counseling, education, employment assistance, and long-term housing solutions for thousands of people across Australia. With more than 116,000 Australians—many of them young and elderly—without a safe and secure place to live, this initiative is more critical than ever.
ASE remains dedicated to supporting this worthy cause and making a tangible impact in the fight against homelessness.
